In arithmetic, to multiply a number by itself and then by itself again. For example, 5 cubed = 53 = 5 × 5 × 5 = 125. Alternatively, the cube root of 125 is 5. The term also refers to a number formed by cubing; for example, 1, 8, 27, 64 are the first four cubes.
