In The Waste Land (1922), T S Eliot included allusions and quotations from a variety of sources such as nursery rhymes, Dante, and Kyd, all within a few lines of each other. Some writers and topics have been particularly prone to pastiche, for example Ian Fleming's James Bond novels.
