Mediterranean coast from Menton to St-Tropez in the départements of Alpes-Maritimes and Var, France, renowned for its beaches; it is part of the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The chief resorts are Antibes, Cannes, Nice, Juan-Les-Pins, and Monte Carlo in Monaco.
