Tiscali phishing example
Tiscali customers have recently informed us of a increase in new phishing emails, as shown below, purporting to be from our billing department. Although they may look real, don't be fooled, they're not. Tiscali will never email you to request that you click on a link in an email or to request any personal details. The link in this email will send you to a phishing website that may look and feel like the Tiscali portal, but it's a phishing site. Always check the URL and look for the tell-tale signs on websites like this. For starters, the website is shown as http and not https (secure). It also asks for 'State' and 'Zip code', something that tells us this clearly isn't a UK based website.
