I work in education and one member of staff loved and latched on to every new saying or phrase going. He used to say things such as: "Look at that `Positive Peer Interaction Group` together on the playground". One day I asked him in what God`s name he was talking about? It appeared that he was talking about groups of kids on the playground during breaktime playing games. Education is full of these people, and worse still is that if you don`t go along with it you are seen as not having pride in your job.

When the boss says 'The meeting will begin with a corporate presentation on the New Direction...she means...'H.Q. have devised a video presentation aimed at brainwashing front line drones into doing two jobs for the price of one'. Lower your eyes off the video to avoid the possibility of organisational mind contamination. If you become a clone your nothing.

In my last job, whenever we where asked to talk about something or try and promote an idea we had to 'wax lyrical'.
If another person ever says that to me again, i'll use 'out of the box' thinking to tell them where to go.

The most abstract one I've ever heard was "Let's leave that idea on the hillside overnight and we'll have a look at the teeth marks in the morning"
"Singing from the same hymn sheet" and "There's no I in team" are ones I hear most often.

Without a doubt "lets touch base" and "lets touch base online". This was a favorite of a boss about 20 years ago he was a real p**t. I cant believe that its still around.

I understood my last boss completely he was a bent crafty nasty git who eventually stitched up all of his employees. Closed the business after seceral months of planning and the staff got nothing. They say what goes around comes around I hope that it does for him.
